Chairman and CEO
Brian founded Challenger Homes in 2000 with his wife Heather out of their garage. Since then, he has built Challenger Homes and The Challenger Group into one of the largest homebuilders and developers in the Pikes Peak Region, always focusing on the company vision of Making Life Better. Since its inception, Challenger Homes and The Challenger Group have built 3,000+ homes throughout the region, thousands of square feet of office space, and completed a number of multi-family projects. During that time, he has also served as a board member and past president for the Pikes Peak Council of the Boy Scouts of America, volunteered his time in helping numerous individuals in hardship, and continues to be a loving and caring family man. He enjoys spending time with his family, investing, football, and basketball.
Brian received his Masters of Accounting and Information Systems from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.
Bruce has over 30 years of experience in the homebuilding and commercial development industry spanning the United States, focusing in Colorado since the late 90’s. His multi-family experience includes feasibility, underwriting, planning, finance, development, and management of almost 2,500 mid-rise condominiums, apartment communities, and townhomes. Bruce joined The Challenger Group in 2016 as CFO and assumed the VP of Commercial Development role in 2017, guiding the financing and eventual construction of the first projects Goodwin Knight built. He has volunteered on a number of community leadership boards, enjoys skiing, traveling, and the outdoors.
Bruce received his BS in Commerce and Accounting from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
VP of Planning and Community Development
Bry has 20 years of experience in land planning, entitlement, civil engineering, and landscape architecture working primarily throughout the western United States. His varied experience has allowed him to work on residential, multi-family, commercial, recreational, industrial, and government facilities covering over 40,000 acres of land. Bry joined The Challenger Group in 2014 as Director of Planning and took on the role of VP of Planning and Community Development in 2018, having overseen the pre-development of all of Goodwin Knight’s past and current projects. He has been chairman and a board member of the City of Fountain Urban Renewal Authority since 2008 and enjoys hiking, fishing, traveling, and home renovation projects.
Bry received his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from Utah State University in Logan, UT.
Chief Financial Officer
Jordan has six years of experience in the homebuilding and construction industry, primarily in Colorado and North Carolina. His experience has been focused on financing, land development, commercial and residential real estate, and strategic planning and budgeting. Prior to joining The Challenger Group in 2017, Jordan worked for a large national homebuilder where he focused on budgeting and forecasting financial projections. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Fraud Examiner. In Jordan's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, golfing, playing sports, and is an active land developer and investor.
Jordan received his Masters Degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.
Director of Operations
Michael has been working in the construction industry for over 30 years and is well-experienced in all phases of construction. He has extensive knowledge and expertise implementing policies and procedures, managing day-to-day construction activities, scheduling, preparing budgets, negotiating contracts, purchasing, and coordinating the office and field. Michael has completed a multitude of projects including commercial facilities such as hospitality, first responder facilities, sports parks, government facilities, and multi-family projects varying from podiums, high-rise, wraps, and garden-style apartments.
Prior to joining the Goodwin Knight team, Michael worked for many leading construction companies in the southern and western regions of the United States and has held multiple general contractor's licenses.
